Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and today we are celebrating love with our fellow food bloggers. We love #FoodBloggerLove, because it is a day to show appreciation to other food bloggers that we really enjoy. We are so lucky to have these lovely ladies in our lives! In some industries, bloggers are really cut-throat and competitive, but that isn’t really the case among food bloggers (for the most part). It is so nice that we can all life one another up instead of tearing one another down!

Today, this recipe goes out to all my fellow food bloggers! I’m sending you hugs and kisses from Virginia!

Peanut butter blossoms are an old family favorite at our house. The other week, I was at a garden expo and there was a stand selling baked goods. They had huge packs of these Hershey kiss cookies, and my friend bought one. Eating peanut butter blossom cookies immediately takes me back to my childhood. I remember LOVING to grab one as soon as it was cool enough to touch, when the chocolate kiss is still melt-y. YUM.

Some people roll the cookies in sugar before baking them, but you really don’t have to do that. They are sweet enough as-is. But, to make these extra special for Valentine’s Day, I did roll them in a some lips-shaped sprinkles, courtesy of our friends at Sprinkle Pop! This post is NOT sponsored, but these are sprinkles that they send me for free back in October for #Choctoberfest. How cute are they!?!?! Perfect for a kiss-themed cookie.

Happy Valentine’s Day, y’all! And thank you to our fellow bloggers who support us and post delicious recipes all year long. Here’s the printable recipe, then scroll down to see more #FoodBloggerLove recipes being posted today!

Sealed with a Kiss Cookies (Peanut Butter Blossoms)

An old-fashioned cookie with delicoius peanut butter flavor and a yummy Hershey kiss on top!

  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • Hershey Kisses
  • sprinkles
  1. With a stand or hand mixer on high, combine the butter, egg, sugars, and peanut butter until you have a fluffy, creamy consistency.

  2. By hand or with mixer on low, sift the baking soda, baking powder, and flour into the butter mixture and combine. Do not overwork the dough. It will be soft, but should not be super sticky. If needed, you can add a bit more flour.

  3. Roll dough into 2-inch balls, and roll each ball into sprinkles (if desired – optional). Place on an ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.

  4. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 9-10 minutes. When the cookies come out of the oven, immediately press a Hershey kiss in the center. Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes on the cookie sheet, then remove to cool completely on a wire rack.

For a fun twist, press a peanut butter cup in the center of each cookie instead.
